Afterword for Mac
It lives in your menu bar, notices when a call starts, and writes the notes when it ends. Everything happens on your Mac.

Installing it
- Open the download and drag Afterword into Applications.
- Open Afterword. macOS says it can't check it for malicious software. Click Done.
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click Open Anyway next to Afterword. Confirm with Touch ID or your password.
- Afterword appears in your menu bar. Paste your license key, or use the Activate button in your email.
You only do this once. Updates install themselves after that. The warning appears because Afterword isn't notarized by Apple yet, which costs a yearly fee we'll pay once the app pays for itself. The app is signed, and every update is checked against our signing key before it installs.
Prefer Terminal?
After dragging it to Applications, this clears the download flag so it opens normally:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Afterword.app
The first call
On your first call, Afterword asks to use the microphone (for your voice) and to record the meeting app's audio (for everyone else's). Say yes to both. Audio is never saved, only the words, and they stay on your Mac.
